Life at Western

Here I am, back in Kalamazoo. I was born and lived the first 15 years of my life here. I like Kalamazoo - it is not too huge, has everything you could need, is 45 minutes from Lake Michigan, has plenty of things to do places to go, and has a low cost-of-living. I am moving into Seville apartments with my roommate Adam next week! It is 5 minutes from everything here - perfect location. Western Michigan University has about 8000 students and a very clean, modern campus. I currently work part-time at DeVisser Landscape Services - a great bunch of people and fun work! On any given day my work can consist of driving a huge truck, moving plenty of dirt, building walls, planting trees/shrubs, and installing ponds and waterfalls. I love it. I am making plenty of friends and reconnecting with old ones... Oh - my brother and his wife live 5 minutes away! And my cousins. And my grandparents. So there is never a boring moment! All in all, I am happy here - although I miss my girlfriend! I am usually in Chicago or St Joseph on the weekends visiting her... This weekend I will be camping out at Turkey Run! The best weekend each year!!
